Canyons School Distict (Utah). Jordan High School Yearbooks
These records are housed in the Utah State Archives' permanent storage room.
Scope and Content
This series contains published annual yearbooks documenting school activities. The Jordan High School yearbook initially carried the title of the "Courier", but in 1922 the title "Beetdigger," a reference to the school mascot, was adopted. The books are compiled by a student staff with the assistance of teacher advisors. The yearbooks contain names and photographs of the faculty, staff, and individual students by grade, school clubs, sports, cultural events, and academic and social activities.
Chronological by school year.
Yearbooks in Archives holdings from 1946, 1950, 1951, 1952, 1953, 1955, and 1962 are extra, unused school copies that were in the possession of Jesse B. Casper, who was on the faculty at the school.
This series is classified as Public.
